Tour Start in India (EN)

The Dream Awake Tour has started. Arrived in my second home India (Trivandrum). I met Indian students who asked me if I would visit their concert. Of course that was not an issue for me. The guys of the „Cyclechain Band“ gave me their concert flyer and I gave them the second Ashram album „Prison without walls“ as well as my first solo album „I’m free – you can’t catch me“. We said goodbye, but on the same evening Vamsi (bandleader) contacted me and asked if I could help them out as a frontman at a band contest. I didn´t have to think long and we had a brilliant rehearsal next day. I didn´t know the guys would rock like that. The youngest member of the band was only fourteen years old, but he played the guitar as if he were at least ten years older. His name was Gowtham and I was very impressed with his talent.

With the band „Cyclechain“ (left to right): Mufeed, Gowtham, me, Vignesh, Vamsi, Shaheer

We spoke after the rehearsal and I asked him how it was possible to have such a musical level at the age of fourteen. He said: „My older brother always wanted to learn guitar, but unfortunately he is deaf, he was born deaf and that hurt me and my family a lot, then I wanted to fulfill his dream and started to learn guitar. When I play the guitar my brother is happy and so I´m happy too. “ As you can imagine, this conversation has touched my heart. The story of Gowtham was very emotional and in the same time refreshing for me, as I was simply amazed of his idealism and musical energy.

The other band members told me that rock music is very popular in India now. They were so excited of my two albums, they immediately included the songs „Rock the show“, „What’s going on“ and „I’m free …“ in their live program.

To be honest, I did not expect such a warm welcome and great tour start. I can only say „I love my India!“

Rehearsel with „Cyclechain“, they play my songs „Rock the show“, „What’s going on“ and „I’m free“

  1. We met Boris at Kovalam while we were there to arrange some acoustic bar shows for our band to support our-self and to play something we love, and yeah we saw a man walking with a guitar and we approached him and had a chat and shared our music , we talked about music for a 20 minutes, rest of the the story of us that he wrote here is so kind and he rendered it so cool. Many of my friends got me back after reading the blog and asked us about Gowtham. Yeah we are very grateful to have him in the band. Also Boris its amazing when music let us connect each other from different parts of the world. We really looking forward to our future works together. And as a musician and personality Boris fit into the spot perfectly. We see him as our big brother from our family, We feel like home when we are with him. I like his idea of touring around the globe for his second solo album „Dream Awake“ and meeting people. Its really cool. More to come!!
