In this vlog, I’m taking you to South India—a place that never ceases to inspire me, both musically and personally. Right now, I’m working here with our Indian-Austrian band Ashram (on live videos and new songs, for example), as well as on new projects (AI Curling Coach) together with a very good friend, Shaheer Shahabudeen (an IT and AI expert).
Between rehearsals, recordings, and conversations with musician friends, there are many little moments that make my stay here so special. South India isn’t just a beautiful backdrop for creative work—it’s a place full of energy, tradition, and surprising encounters.

Another special part of this vlog is some older footage from our last concert in India. As I was going through the footage, so many memories came flooding back that I really wanted to share a few of those moments with you again. Special thanks go to the Goethe-Institut Trivandrum (Manager: Bobby and Director: Dr. Syed).
Of course, this video isn’t just about music. I’d also like to show you a little bit of what life is like here.

Kerala Backwaters
One of the highlights for me was Holi, the Festival of Colors. People are laughing everywhere, music fills the streets, and suddenly you find yourself in the middle of a colorful shower of pigment. Within minutes, everyone is equal—whether locals or visitors—and for a moment, the world seems to consist of nothing but joy and color.

Along the way, I’ll also take you to some of South India’s most breathtaking landscapes. Palm trees, tropical vegetation, small temples by the roadside, and that unique blend of tranquility and vibrancy—that’s exactly what makes this region so fascinating. Sometimes, all it takes is a boat ride through the backwaters or along the coast to find new inspiration.

Another fascinating highlight of this vlog is the traditional South Indian martial art Kalari (Kalaripayattu). This centuries-old practice combines movement, concentration, and body control in a unique way. As you watch, you immediately sense the depth of discipline and tradition behind it. It’s impressive to see how this art form has remained alive to this day.
So this vlog is a little mix of a musical journey, a glimpse into everyday life, and cultural discovery:
