Shangri La „on air“: India (EN)

My time on the mainland of India during my Dream Awake Tour is already over. I am very glad that I met the guys of Cycle Chain on my second day. The young band and I have made a lot of music together in this short period of time. Every single day was great. Therefore, I would like to thank Vamsi, Shaheer, Gowtham, Mufeed and Manager Vignesh for this fantastic time!

These young musicians have the soul and the right spirit for music. I am very sure that you will hear from this band in the future. On my penultimate day we had an interview with Radio Mirchi, where my current song „Shanri La“ was presented.

After the Radio Mirchi Interview, which was directed by Nithin Raj, I had another meeting with Ashram singer Sooraj Santhosh. With him we played our last Ashram tour in Europe in 2011. I did not know that Shaheer and Vignesh from Cycle Chain are big fans of Sooraj Santhosh. Therefore, of course we all took a picture together. Sooraj is very famous in South India. During our joint meal he talked about his musical successes in recent years.

Last night there was a final concert with Cycle Chain in our living room in the Seashore restaurant. We really had a lot of fun and thank you Anil, who organized all the concerts there!

Last concert with Cycle Chain Band. Thank you guys!

It continues…

My next stop are Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The Andaman Islands are in the Bengal sea. The islands are known for their white sand beaches, mangroves and coral reefs with marine animals such as sharks, rays and there are supposedly saltwater crocodiles there. The natives of the Andaman Islands inhabit the more remote islands. Many of these islands do not allow visitors. Only a few months ago a missionary was killed there by poison arrows. I’ve always wanted to go there (but not to the natives) and this time it’s finally going to happen!
