A to Be – A to Be – Tour kickoff in England (EN)
My “A to Be” world tour began in England—a country I am very grateful to. Most rock stars come from there. Among them was Thomas Packer, who, alongside Jimmy Page, played an important role in shaping my musical journey.
Sadly, Thomas has passed away. During his lifetime, he often dreamed of doing another world tour. Strangely enough, in his final days, a photo of our second album, “Dream Awake,” hung in the intensive care unit where he spent his last hours. Seeing that picture at such a moment—in the room where Thomas died—was deeply surreal.
Now it’s time for me to travel the world again, this time with the spirit of rock ‘n’ roll in my bag. It seemed only suitable to start with “Stairway to Heaven” on Jimmy Page’s staircase – in memory of Thomas Packer: songwriter, bon vivant, and manager.
Together with English Oasis fans in London, I kicked off my upcoming A to Be world tour in London. It’s always fantastic to make music with English people, as their enthusiasm for music is unique.

A to Be – Toursstart in England (DE)
Meine „A to Be-Worldtour 2025/26 begann in England – einem Land, dem ich sehr viel zu verdanken habe. Die meisten Rockstars und die großen Pioniere des Rock kommen von dort. Unter ihnen war auch Thomas Packer, der neben Jimmy Page eine sehr wichtige Rolle bei meiner Entwicklung als Musiker spielte.
Leider ist Thomas vor einiger Zeit verstorben. Zu Lebzeiten träumte er oft davon, eine weitere musikalische Welttournee zu starten. Seltsamerweise hing im Zimmer der Intensivstation, wo er seine letzten Stunden verbrachte, das Bild an der Wand, welches wir einige Jahre zuvor als Coverfoto unseres zweiten Albums „Dream Awake“ verwendeten. Dieses Bild in einem solchen Moment zu sehen – in dem Raum, in dem Thomas starb – war zutiefst surreal.
Jetzt ist es an der Zeit, dass ich wieder um die Welt reise, diesmal mit dem Geist des Rock ‚n‘ Roll im Gepäck. Es schien nur passend, mit „Stairway to Heaven“ auf Jimmy Pages Treppe zu beginnen – in Erinnerung an Thomas Packer: Songwriter, Lebenskünstler und Manager.
Gemeinsam mit den englischen Oasis Fans in London startete ich meine kommende A to Be – Worldtour in London. Es ist immer fantastisch mit Engländer gemeinsam zu musizieren, da deren Begeisterung für Musik einzigartig ist.

Boris Seidl sets off on a world tour – with music, freedom, and adventure
Boris Seidl, a musician for decades and founder of the Indian-Austrian band Ashram (link: www.ashram-music.com), is embarking on a new, very special journey: a world tour – open, free, inspired by curiosity and a zest for life. Boris Seidl bricht auf zur Weltreise – mit Musik, Freiheit und Abenteuer
Boris Seidl, seit Jahrzehnten Musiker und Gründer der indisch-österreichischen Band Ashram (Link: www.ashram-music.com), begibt sich auf eine neue, ganz besondere Reise: eine Weltreise – offen, frei, inspiriert von Neugier und Lebenslust. Ohne feste Route, ohne starre Pläne – denn im Zentrum steht für ihn eines: der Freiheitsgedanke. Die erste Station führt ihn nach Brasilien, wo Rhythmen, Kulturen und Begegnungen auf ihn warten. Doch das ist erst der Anfang. Für Boris bedeutet Reisen nicht nur das physische Fortbewegen, sondern ein bewusstes Eintauchen in das Unbekannte – sei es musikalisch, menschlich oder kulturell. Ein außergewöhnlicher Aspekt dieser Reise ist auch Boris‘ zweite Leidenschaft: Curling. Als langjähriger Curling-Coach trägt er den Spirit dieses besonderen Sports mit sich – und bringt ihn dorthin, wo man ihn vielleicht nicht vermuten würde: zum Beispiel nach Argentinien. Dort wird gerade begonnen, Curling als Sport zu etablieren – eine Herausforderung, der sich Boris mit Begeisterung widmet. Diese Reise ist keine Flucht, sondern eine bewusste Hinwendung zur Welt. Album Presentation on FM4, LLTV and Andaman Chronicle (EN/DE)
EN: In October I presented my new album Andaman Groove in an interview on LLTV. The interview is in German. I talk about how the album came about, how the idea was born, about the history of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and of course about the new songs etc. On 13.10. the Andaman Groove Album was presented on Radio FM4 Soundpark. The song Purple Waves was introduced and there was a report about my time as a street musician.
The new album was reported on the Andaman Islands too. Beside the Andaman Express there was also an article on the main page of the Andaman Chronicle newspaper. At this point a big thank you especially to Rajesh from Ressource Digital Studio (Port Blair) + Megha and Sajeet.
DE: Im Oktober habe ich im Rahmen eines Interviews mein neues Album Andaman Groove auf LLTV präsentiert. Das Interview ist in Deutsch. Album Presentation Andaman Groove (EN)
From the end of August to September my live presentations for my third album Andaman Groove took place, which I wrote together with Thomas from Birmingham on the Andaman Islands. It was planned that I will present my new beach album live in Traun at the Oedtsee beach at the end of August. The concert was already fixed, but I had to cancel it soon because the Corona regulations were tightened again. Nevertheless I kept the other dates and luckily everything went well. Good friends travelled to Austria (Farida from France, Heikki from Finland and Thomas from England) to attend the Andaman Groove album presentations live. The release premiere took place via Instagram Live-Stream. This performance was half-playback, the primary goal was that people from abroad (India / Andaman Islands or England etc.) could join the album presentation too.
It went on and the first Andaman Groove live concert in Kitzbühel followed. I played in the El Dorado Bar together with two former pupils, Arman and Lukas supported my new beach songs. The two young musicians are very talented and I was very glad that they supported me so professionally and motivated. It was nice to see many friends and former pupils in Kitzbühel again. The song I’m Free – You Can’t Catch Me was sung by a lot of people in the audience and it brought back memories of the school concert in July 2018.
An open air concert followed in St. Martin im Mühlkreis. The idea to make music for a good reason was brought to life by Gerald Horvath and Harald Weihtrager. They have been organizing benefit concerts for many years. This time for SOS Kinderdorf. Since I was just one of the many musicians who performed there to present some of my new Andaman songs, it was a special honor for me to discover my face in the newspaper in connection with this great event. It was really a very professionally organized event, a great atmosphere and I guess a lot of donations were collected.
Finally there was a spontaneous open air concert on the OK Deck in Linz. One evening I had my guitar with me when I went out in Freistadt and played some songs in a bar, Berni and Viktor approached me and asked me if I would like to be part of their event Above The Clouds. Of course I said yes, although I didn’t know what to expect,
but in the end it was a very cool event. I met a lot of nice people and especially enjoyed the jam session at the end. Hopefully next year again. Many thanks to @viktor_freudenthaler and @berni_goldlocks for the organization!
On Fr. 25.09.2020 the whole Andaman album will be released in the music online stores. There are 11 new tracks above and I’m already curious how the album will be accepted by the listeners. There will be three new music videos on my YouTube channel in the coming weeks. There will be music videos for the songs – It’s Allowed, Andaman Groove and Purple Waves.
Album Präsentation Andaman Groove (DE)
Von Ende August bis Mitte September fanden meine Live-Präsentationen zu meinem dritten Album Andaman Groove, welches ich gemeinsam mit Thomas aus Birmingham auf den Andaman Inseln geschrieben habe, statt. Anfangs wollte ich Ende August in Traun am Oedtsee-Strand mein neues Beach-Album live präsentieren. Das Konzert war bereits fixiert, allerdings musste ich es bald wieder absagen, da die Corona Bestimmungen wieder verschärft wurden. Trotzdem hielt ich an den anderen Terminen fest und zum Glück ging alles gut über die Bühne. Gute Freunde sind extra nach Österreich angereist (Farida aus Frankreich, Heikki aus Finnland und Thomas aus England), um bei den Andaman Groove Album-Präsentationen live dabei zu sein. Die Veröffentlichungspremiere fand via Instagram Live-Stream statt. Diese Aufführung war Halb-Playback, das vorrangige Ziel war, dass vor allem Personen im Ausland (z.B. Indien / Andamanen oder England ) mit dabei sein können.
Danach ging es weiter und es folgte das erste Live-Konzert in Kitzbühel. Dabei spielte ich in der El Dorado Bar gemeinsam mit zwei ehemaligen Schülern, Arman und Lukas begleiteten meine neuen Beachsongs. Die beiden jungen Musiker sind sehr talentiert und ich war sehr froh, dass sie mich so professionell und motiviert unterstützten. Ebenso war es schön, sehr viele Bekannte und ehemalige Schüler in Kitzbühel wieder zu sehen. Beim Song I´m Free – You Can´t Catch Me haben sehr viele im Publikum mitgesungen und es kamen in mir, Erinnerungen vom Schulkonzert im Juli 2018 hoch.
Es folgte ein Open Air Konzert in St. Martin im Mühlkreis. Die Idee Musik für einen guten Zweck zu machen, wurde von Gerald Horvath und Harald Weihtrager ins Leben gerufen. Dabei veranstalten sie seit vielen Jahren Benefizkonzerte. Diesmal für SOS Kinderdorf. Da ich lediglich als einer der vielen Musiker dort aufgetreten bin, um einige meiner neuen Andaman Songs zu präsentieren, war es eine besondere Ehre für mich, mein Gesicht in der Zeitung im Zusammenhang mit dieser tollen Veranstaltung entdecken zu dürfen. Es war wirklich ein sehr professionell- organisierter Event, eine super Stimmung und es dürfte auch einiges an Spendengeldern zusammen gekommen sein.
Zum Abschluss gab es noch ein spontanes Open Air Konzert am OK Deck in Linz. Da ich an einem Abend zufällig meine Gitarre beim Fortgehen in Freistadt dabei hatte und einige Songs in einer Bar gespielt habe, trat Berni und Viktor an mich heran und fragten mich, ob ich bei deren Veranstaltung „Über den Wolken“ dabei sein möchte. Natürlich sagte ich ja, wusste zwar nicht was mich erwarten würde,
aber schlussendlich war es ein sehr cooler Event. Nette Leute kennen gelernt und besonders toll fand ich die Jam Session zum Schluss. Hoffentlich nächstes Jahr wieder. Herzlichen Dank an @viktor_freudenthaler und @berni_goldlocks für die Organisation!

3rd Album Release – Andaman Groove (EN)
In September my new and third album Andaman Groove will be released. During my Dream Awake Tour ’19 together with LLTV, I visited the Andaman Islands for the first time. I met Thomas, who has been spending the winter there regularly for several years. During my first stay I was impressed by the beauty and unspoiled nature and I was very interested in the history of the islands too. As already mentioned in a blog article of mine, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands even have a connection to Austria.
During my second visit in winter 2019/20 I took my equipment with me to play some live gigs in bars and hotels. Of course I saw friends and familiar faces again. In the evening we had beach hut jam sessions, these were very inspiring especially for Thomas and me and some new songs came up. The Beachhut – Avenue was called Boom Shankar Avenue, as I said, most of the songs were created there. We didn’t have the intention to write an album about the Andaman Islands, but in the tracks we creatively packed some funny experiences. In retrospect, it was a very nice and special time for me, because at that time nobody could have guessed what a difficult time we would have with Corona. It remains to be seen whether we will ever be able to move so freely and uncomplicate in this world again in the future.
After we had written some new songs there on the beach, the idea came up to produce a tribute album for the natural Andaman and Nicobar Islands. This is what happened and we went to the only recording studio in Port Blair, the capital of the 572 islands. With Rajesh Kumar of Resonance Digital Studios we had found a patient sound engineer who started recording the demo tracks. His job was not exactly easy, but he laid the foundation of the recording process. The studio was very hard to find and the rickshaw drivers never took us to the desired destination in the beginning, although we used google maps to orientate ourselves. When the studio was found and nobody was there (Rajesh was busy), we naturally went to the nearest bar to wait for him. Several hours passed and when we knocked at the Resonance Studio, still nobody was there. Since we had gotten up early that day and it was already very hot, Thomas just lay down on the floor, right at the entrance right in front of the studio door and fell asleep comfortably. But only a short time later Rajesh came and greeted me friendly, at the same time he was very surprised and asked me who was lying on the floor. I told him that this was Thomas and we would mainly record his voice today. He was a bit surprised, but at the thought of recording Thomas singing he had to laugh.
Later I travelled back to my home country with the raw sound tracks. The plan was already set, with German Schwarz at my side, to finalize the album professionally in Vienna. With the technical help of German, our third album became more concrete over a longer period of time. The word OUR because I have produced my three solo albums together with German. In my opinion, that’s something special, because the productions take up more and more time and energy. Of course, there are moments when you ask yourself why you do this to yourself at all, since the income is limited. But in the end, German always stands behind the creation of music with full commitment and conviction. That’s why the recording sessions at German are always something special, because we are connected by a long, common, musical past. We’ve been working together for over twenty years and met in the band Fur Balloon in 1999. Back then, German rocked the bass and I rocked the guitar. Later we played together in the Indian fusion band Ashram. Some years later the idea came to me to travel through different countries as a street musician. I had a lot of funny experiences on the streets and some of them I set to music in songs which I have recorded with German in his studio ever since.
At this point I would like to thank again German’s girlfriend Andrea for her hospitality during the recording time in Vienna!
In the coming weeks everything should be done for my third album. Here are some infos about the new album: – The title of the album is Andaman Groove, because as already mentioned it was written and recorded on the Andaman Islands. – Feat. resp. Featuring Thomas because Thomas sings in the background on the album and has been an inspiration and songwriter. – There will be 10 new tracks released, all of them produced in beachstyle. – This time there will also be a physical product (CD). Limited edition of 1000 pieces. – The reason: it is a concept album,
the individual titles are not isolated, because the beach songs have a thematic relationship to each other. – The idea: The whole album should give the listener half an hour of beach feeling. – Not until March 2021 the digital release will be done via Spotify, iTunes etc. (the physical album, audio CD, will be available for order on my homepage in September) – The release date or main presentation will be on 12.09.2020 during a live stream concert. 3rd Album Release – Andaman Groove (DE)
Mitte September wird mein neues und drittes Album „Andaman Groove“ erscheinen. Im Rahmen meiner Dream Awake Tour ´19 gemeinsam mit LLTV, besuchte ich zum ersten Mal die Andaman Inseln. Dabei habe ich Thomas getroffen, der seit einigen Jahren den Winter dort regelmäßig verbringt. Bei meinem ersten Aufenthalt war ich von der Schönheit und Unberührtheit der Natur beeindruckt, auch hat mich die Geschichte der Inseln sehr interessiert. Wie bereits bei einem Blog-Artikel von mir erwähnt, haben die Andaman und Nikobaren Inseln sogar einen Bezug zu Österreich.
Bei meinem zweiten Besuch im Winter 2019/20 nahm ich mein Equipment mit, um in Bars und Hotels einige Live-Auftritte zu spielen. Natürlich habe ich Freunde und so manches bekannte Gesicht wieder gesehen. Die abendlichen Strandhütten-Jam-Sessions, wo wir immer in geselliger Runde beisamen waren, waren vor allem für Thomas und mich sehr inspirierend, dabei entstanden einige gemeinsame neue Songs. Die Strandhütten-Allee wurde als „Boom Shankar Avenue“ bezeichnet, wie zuvor erwähnt wurden dort die meisten Songs kreiert. Wir hatten jedoch noch nicht die Intention, dass wir gemeinsam ein Album über die Andaman Inseln schreiben würden, jedoch haben wir in den Tracks einige lustige Erlebnisse kreativ verpackt. Im Nachhinein gesehen, war es eine sehr schöne und besondere Zeit für mich, da damals noch niemand ahnte, welch eine schwierige Zeit uns mit Corona bevorstehen würde. Ob man sich in Zukunft jemals wieder so frei und unkompliziert in dieser Welt bewegen kann, bleibt dahingestellt.
Nachdem wir einige neue Songs dort am Strand geschrieben hatten, kam der Gedanke ein Tribute-Album für die naturbelassenen Andaman- und Nikobaren Inseln zu produzieren. Dies geschah dann auch so und wir begaben uns in das einzige Tonstudio in Port Blair, die Hauptstadt der 572 Inseln. Mit Rajesh Kumar des Resonance Digital Studios hatten wir einen geduldigen Tontechniker gefunden, der mit den recordings der Demotracks begann. Sein Job war nicht gerade einfach, aber er hat den Grundstein des Aufnahmeprozesses gelegt. Das Studio war sehr schwer zu finden und die Rikscha-Fahrer haben uns anfangs nie an das gewünschte Ziel gebracht, obwohl wir uns mit google maps orientierten. Als das Studio gefunden war, aber noch niemand da war (Rajesh war beschäftigt und hatte daher etwas Verspätung), ging es natürlich in die nächstgelegene Bar, um dort auf ihn zu warten. Es vergingen einige Stunden und als wir wieder beim Resonance Studio anklopften, war noch immer niemand dort. Da wir bereits zeitig an diesem Tag aufgestanden waren und es bereits sehr heiß war, legte sich Thomas einfach auf den Boden, genau beim Eingang direkt vor der Tür des Studios und schlief gemütlich ein (+ eine Whisky-Flasche daneben). Jedoch kam nur kurze Zeit später Rajesh und begrüßte mich freundlich, gleichzeitig war er sehr erstaunt und fragte mich, wer hier am Boden liegt. Ich teilte ihm mit, dass das Thomas ist und wir würden heute hauptsächlich seine Stimme aufnehmen. Er war etwas verwundert, allerdings bei dem Gedanken den Gesang mit Thomas aufzunehmen, musste er laut lachen.
Später reiste ich mit den rohen Tonspuren zurück in mein Heimatland. Dabei stand der Plan bereits schon fest, mit German Schwarz an der Seite, das Album professionell in Wien zu finalisieren. Mit der technischen Hilfe von German wurde über einen längeren Zeitraum unser drittes Album konkreter. Das Wort „unser“ deshalb, da ich gemeinsam mit German bisher meine drei Solo-Alben produzierte. Meiner Meinung nach, ist das nicht selbstverständlich da mittlerweile die Produktionen immer mehr Zeit und Energien verschlingen. Natürlich gibt es Momente wo man sich fragt, weshalb man sich das überhaupt antut, da sich die Einnahmen in Grenzen halten. Aber German steht dann schlussendlich doch immer mit vollem Einsatz und Überzeugung hinter dem Musikschaffen. Deshalb sind die Recording-Sessions bei German immer etwas besonderes, da uns eine langjährige, gemeinsame, musikalische Vergangenheit verbindet. Wir arbeiten seit über zwanzig Jahren zusammen, lernten uns in der Band Fur Balloon im Jahr 1999 kennen. Damals rockte German den Bass und ich die Gitarre. Später spielten wir gemeinsam in der indischen Fusionband Ashram. Einige Jahre danach kam mir der Gedanke, als Straßenmusiker durch verschiedene Länder zu reisen. Dabei hatte ich sehr viele Erlebnisse und manche davon vertonte ich in Songs, welche ich seither immer mit German in seinem Studio aufgenommen habe.

die einzelnen Titel sind nicht isoliert, weil die Strandlieder in einer thematischen Beziehung zu einander stehen. – Die Idee: Das gesamte Album soll dem Hörer eine halbe Stunde Strandfeeling vermitteln. – Somit wird erst im März 2021 die digitale Veröffentlichung via Spotify, iTunes usw. erfolgen (das physische Album, Audio CD, wird man ab September auf meiner homepage bestellen können – Das Veröffentlichungsdatum bzw. die Hauptpräsentation wird am 12.09.2020 im Rahmen eines Live-Stream-Konzerts stattfinden. Auch gibt es ein Konzert in Kitzbühel am 29.08. und einen Auftritt in der Granit Arena am 05.09. in St.Martin im Mühlkreis – Es wird natürlich wieder Musikvideos zu einzelnen Tracks geben, wie z.B. zum Song „Purple Waves“, dieses ist derzeit in Arbeit, es wird von Markus Mayer https://www.xipifilms.com/ gerade produziert.
